Mead Fluid Dynamics | Bimba

Bimba MEADMead’s traditional strength has been in the design and manufacturing of pneumatic components for the industrial automation market, including pneumatic valves. Applications for our extensive valve line cover a broad spectrum of modern industry.

Recent developments, notably the award-winning Isonic® valve technology, have propelled Mead into new, more specialized markets, including medical design, HVAC, process control, instrumentation and fast food.

With an innovative concept and a pioneering approach to valve design, Mead’s new technology has directly challenged the conventions of traditional valve manufacturers.  In doing so, Mead has overcome many of the restrictions and limitations of conventional valve manufacturing, resulting in a unique design that minimizes valve size, reduces air turbulence and lowers valve costs.

Function of CSV’s:

Concurrent actuation of the recessed buttons generates a signal. Releasing one or both buttons immediately stops the signal which cannot be re-instituted until both buttons are again actuated concurrently. Low Stress (LS) models are for high production applications where operator fatigue is a concern. Needing only 6 ounces of force to actuate, LS units ease the stress on worker’s hands and wrists and greatly reduce the risk of repetitive motion disorders. Standard models require 18 ounces of force to actuate.
